Tom's Independent Analysis

Tom conducted an independent analysis of the potential economic impact of building three casinos in Massachusetts. His analysis showed:

1. The risks and uncertainties associated with establishing and successfully operating three destination casinos in Massachusetts are considerable.

2. The state tax revenue and job-creation benefits of three destination resort casinos in Massachusetts do not clearly outweigh the anticipated financial and social costs.

Tom believes that the people of Massachusetts and the state's economy would fare far better by investing in infrastructure improvement projects over the decade that are critically needed for our roads, bridges, public safety and school facilities and much more.

Tom remains open to new data and ongoing discussion of all dimensions of this important issue. You can read the full report here.
